Anderson University unveiled a new design for the institutional Web site Tuesday, March 23. The new design, which may be accessed at, offers a distinctive look that improves navigation for prospective students, alumni, donors, parents, and students.

“The release of this advanced Web site is the first step in the major launch of a significant institutional brand campaign,” said Michael Collette, vice president for enrollment management and information systems.

Chris Williams, director of university communications, added, “As the university moves toward a more unified institutional brand, this site is intended to be used as a tool and resource to highlight the distinctions of Anderson University and to be shared among alumni, students, families and friends of AU.”

The refresh includes new layouts for the home page and interior landing pages, new clickable graphics, and images and testimonials that reflect the mission of Anderson University. The Anderson University Twitter account has also been embedded in the news section to help communicate on a global scale.

“In updating the AU web site, our goals were to present the broad range of programs the university offers and give visitors to the a site a true feel for the vibrancy of their students and campus culture,” said Barb Lakin, account manager for Brainstorm, an Indianapolis firm which has partnered with the university since 1998.

The process involved around eight months of strategic content placement and planning for the visual revitalization of the site. This is the fourth redesign to the Anderson University Web site, with the most recent redesign occurring in 2006.

“Our goal is to create a dynamic image which continues to make Anderson University so very distinctive: a tradition for academic excellence, an environment founded in discovery, and a commitment to a life of Christ-centered service,” added Collette.

Anderson University is a private Christian university of 2,700 undergraduate and graduate students in central Indiana.
