With the Indianapolis Colts Training Camp starting today at Anderson University, Mayor for the City of Anderson Kris Ockomon and AU President James L. Edwards unveiled a new road on campus. Miracle Avenue located between Dunn and Rice Hall is being temporarily renamed Colts Way until the end of camp on August 18.
"The President and I were discussing how the sign looks more permanent than temporary but that is our hope that they will return," said Ockomon. Fans started to arrive hours before camp to be the first in line for the autograph sessions at Colts City.
President Edwards commented how he is "living in the middle of the camp" but is excited to see so many visitors on campus.
"This is the first time I am happy about traffic in Anderson," said Ockomon.
The Colts will be practicing today at 3:30 p.m. with Colts City open from 2:30-6 p.m. View the full training camp schedule online.
