Anderson University recently announced that the institution has passed the $105 million mark toward the $110 million goal of the Dreams. Discovery. Direction. campaign. Last May, AU passed the $100 million mark thanks to confirmation of a gift of a valuable wood art collection from Dr. James York and Dr. Elizabeth York. Total campaign commitments now stand at more than $105 million. The public phase of the Dreams. Discovery. Direction. campaign for Anderson University was officially launched on October 5, 2006, and is the university’s largest fundraising effort to date.

Edwards, president of Anderson University. “This level of support is possible because of the trust of many and by investments toward a future of great promise. Many of these gifts are given out of a lifetime of stewardship and our students will benefit for generations to come.”

Within the scope of the campaign, Anderson University recently announced the York Performance Hall and Galleries project. The approximately 24,000 square-foot facility will adjoin the existing Krannert Fine Arts Building, bringing together classrooms, rehearsal rooms, and the new performance venue. Dr. James and Dr. Elizabeth York have also provided the lead gift for the construction of this multi-faceted facility.

“Many of our donors are coming forward with major commitments to the campaign as we move closer to the end date,” said Robert L. Coffman, vice-president for Advancement. “In several cases this represents estate commitments that our friends are confirming at this time. We are so pleased to be able to recognize these donors and their commitments as part of this unprecedented effort to build financial strength for Anderson University.”

The Dreams. Discovery. Direction. campaign is designed to raise support for endowment and scholarships, facilities and equipment, academic and student programs, and operational needs. The campaign will conclude Dec. 31, 2011. For more information about the Dreams. Discovery.
