The Anderson University Department of Art and Design senior exhibition titled "The Creaking Door" opens April 9 from 2-5 p.m. in the Wilson Galleries in the Krannert Fine Arts Center.

Nine graduating seniors with both visual communications and studio work will have work featured including Sarah Velez, Bev Parker, Ricci Emmons, Daniel Jewett, Ira Drummy, Jason Tan, Erin Groh, Julie Pavey and Makayla Martin.

"We have all worked really hard and have been waiting for a long time for this moment," said Groh, a visual communications design major from Ohio. "Not just the moment of our show opening, but also what is to come after we graduate and move on to the next step of our lives. This is what 'The Creaking Door' symbolizes; the culmination of what we have experienced and the anticipation of what we are about to encounter."

The senior show has a diverse collection of artwork including woodcuts, screen prints, photography, sculptures, paintings and drawings. The show will remain open on weekdays through May 7 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The seniors will be giving their presentations on April 12 and 14 from 6 to 9 p.m. in Hartung 101.

Admission is free and open to the public. For all inquiries, please contact Tai Lipan, Director of Exhibitions Programming at (765) 641-4320 or talipan@anderson.edu.
