AU announces temporary paid and volunteer positions for Colts camp

Anderson University is seeking individuals interested in working as temporary parking attendants and security personnel during the 2012 Indianapolis Colts Training Camp. About 80-100 people will be hired as temporary parking attendants and security personnel for the July 28 - Aug. 17 camp at Anderson University.

Individuals interested in security and parking positions must be 18 years of age, be able to work a minimum of four hours daily during the 21-day camp, be able to withstand long periods of standing and working in varying weather conditions, and possess good judgment, good people skills, and a friendly, helpful disposition. Applicants should be available to attend mandatory training sessions prior to the opening of the camp. Individuals may complete an employment application by visiting the Anderson University Office of Human Resources Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., in Decker Hall, Room 11, 1100 East Fifth Street, Anderson, IN 46012. Additional inquiry may be made by phone at (765) 641-4132.

AU is also seeking individuals interested in volunteering for unpaid positions during training camp. Volunteers may register for one of six training sessions, which will take place at AU during the weeks of June 11, June 18, and June 25. Individuals may express an interest in volunteering by sending an email to or by visiting the Office of Human Resources.

    • Tuesday, June 12, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in Kardatzke Wellness Center (KWC) Room 158
    • Thursday, June 21, 10 a.m. - noon in KWC Room 158
    • Wednesday, June 27. 1-3 p.m. in KWC Room 158
  • For returning volunteers*
    • Tuesday, June 12, 10-11 a.m. in KWC Room 115 (Human Performance Lab)
    • Wednesday, June 20, noon - 1 p.m. in KWC Room 158
    • Thursday, June 28, 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in KWC Room 158

    *Returning volunteers may attend a training session for new volunteers, if unable to attend dates listed above. Returning volunteers are encouraged to recruit family and friends and attend the new volunteer training sessions if they want to attend together.
