AU to showcase woodturning work of Binh Pho

Critically acclaimed artist Binh Pho will showcase his art at Anderson University from Feb. 16 to May 10. Learn more about the "Shadow of the Turning" exhibit.

Anderson University will be hosting “Shadow of the Turning: The Art of Binh Pho,” an art exhibit from Binh Pho. The exhibit opens on Feb. 16 at the Gallery at York Performance Hall and goes until May 10.

"Binh Pho truly is one of leading artists in the world in this unique and intriguing medium," said Bob Coffman, vice president for Advancement, "His work has been the focus of exhibits all across the country."

Learn how senior athletic training major Elliott Reiff used his Anderson University education to land an internship with the Buffalo Bills.

Senior athletic training major Elliott Reiff had the opportunity to work with the Buffalo Bills this summer as an intern for their summer camps. Faced with strenuous work, Reiff was rewarded with great recommendations and experiences that will shape his career.

Reiff was one of nine athletic training interns who worked with the Buffalo Bills during their summer training camp from the end of July through the month of August.

Anderson University senior Natalia Concepcion recently completed a 10-week marketing internship at the American Eagle headquarters.

Be Individual. Think Broadly. Be Real. Be Distinct.

These words are the inspiration and theme for the American Eagle brand and company culture. These words were also the inspiration for senior marketing major Natalia Concepcion, as she had the opportunity to live out these attributes through a merchandising internship with the popular retailer.

“The internship program itself is extremely competitive,” Concepcion said. “You are constantly being evaluated on things.”

MLK Day exercise gives AU students a glimpse into poverty

Maggie Liston, Kayla Jones, Darby Guard, Alaina Ellenburg and Eric Andrews didn't know what to expect when they suddenly became the Aber family last week.

They were among 50 Anderson University students who took part in a poverty simulation as part of the university's special programs honoring the life of Martin Luther King Jr.

The object of the two-hour exercise was to give students a glimpse into what life might be like as members of a low-income family struggling to survive from month-to-month.

UPDATE: Due to Winter Storm Juno, Shane Claiborne will not be able to join us for Impact Your World Week until Wednesday. Therefore, our Tuesday evening (1/27) chapel service has been canceled. Anderson University gains business insight overseas

Five students from Anderson University were in Grand Cayman in January, visiting businesses and meeting with public and private sector agencies. The visit was facilitated by Suahil Housholder, a Caymanian currently employed as the business manager at AU. Housholder and the visiting students are completing a master's of business administration (MBA) degree from the Falls School of Business at Anderson University.

No one is involved with the game of baseball more than Anderson University alumnus Randy Lewandowski.

After playing four years of baseball at AU and starting his career as an intern for the Indianapolis Indians, Lewandowski was recently named the team's general manager.

After he graduated from AU with a business management degree, Lewandowski began working as an intern in the winter of 1994 for the Indianapolis Indians.
