Department of Art+Design opens with faculty exhibition

The Jessie C. Wilson Galleries at Anderson University are proud to present an exhibition of current work by the faculty of Anderson University’s Department of Art+Design from September 7 - 27 in the East Gallery. Featuring works by five faculty members: Kevin Rudynski, Kathleen Dugan, Arlon Bayliss, Brad McKinney, and Tai Lipan, who not only teach but also have widely exhibited and pursued commissions for their work.

This group exhibition represents the breadth of their professional studio practice and highlights the diversity of the department’s faculty. Featured works will include paintings, glass, documentation of installation work, process work, and printmaking. In conjunction with the exhibition, Professor and Department Chair Kevin Rudynski will be presenting a lecture at 4:00 p.m. during the opening reception on Saturday, Sept. 7. The opening reception begins at 3 p.m.

Showing concurrently with the Faculty Exhibition, are selections from 2012-13 Foundations Studies from September 7 – September 27 in the West Gallery.

The Jessie C. Wilson Galleries serve Anderson University and East Central Indiana with monthly exhibitions that feature the work of regionally and nationally recognized artists. Through these exhibitions, the gallery is dedicated to enriching and engaging AU students, as well as promoting the visual arts within the greater community.
