Dr. James L. Edwards, president of Anderson University, has announced his plans to conclude his presidency by the end of the 2014-15 academic year. His last year of service will mark 25 years of distinguished leadership as president of Anderson University. Currently, he is the longest serving president (in both public and private universities) in the State of Indiana.

Anderson University junior Watson George received the 2014 Nicholson Student Servant Leadership Award for his servant leadership on campus and in the community. The award was made possible by funds directed to the university by Anderson University donors. The award is named in honor of Dr. Robert A. Nicholson, president emeritus of Anderson University.
Abby Kahl had a dream job in mind when she graduated from Anderson University. Today, she’s reaping the rewards of hard work and persistence. Kahl works as a behavioral clinician at the Suzanne Gresham Center in Muncie, Ind. In this position, she works with clients ranging from ages 2 to 16 who have behavioral disabilities. Kahl’s job requires extensive knowledge, and she says it’s her AU courses that prepared her.

Anderson University will receive $1 million to enhance and expand opportunities for its graduates to find meaningful employment in Indiana as part of Lilly Endowment Inc.’s Initiative to Promote Opportunities Through Educational Collaborations. The Endowment awarded $62.7 million in grants to Indiana’s 39 accredited colleges and universities through this initiative.
