Anderson University recently announced several changes and modifications to the academic structure that will take place or begin to unfold during the 2012-13 academic year. The changes are a part of the ongoing revitalization efforts outlined in the university’s Strategic Plan that are intended to strengthen the academic program.

Lindsey Carroll started her day in the middle of a hot, humid Jamaican summer in the mountain town of Mandeville. The Anderson University student toiled in the home of a woman who works relentlessly each day on projects for her local church and orphanage. But this day was different. This day a group of high school students sweated next to her in a home without the cooling presence of air conditioning, painting rooms and completing other work projects around the house.
Scholar’s Student Orientation, Advising, and Registration weekend (SOAR) is always an exciting weekend for the prospective scholar students at Anderson University. This year, however, they had extra cause for anticipation: the seniors of the Honors Program each presented their seminar projects at SOAR for the first time in the program’s history.
Anderson University recently honored four faculty members who retired at the end of the spring semester. During a reception in Reardon Auditorium on April 26, faculty and staff gathered to share congratulations and words of appreciation for Professor Paul Gray, Professor Zola Noble, Dr. Linda Swindell, and Dr. Ken Turner.
Identical twins Elizabeth and Katherine Barwick anxiously lined up outside Anderson University’s Reardon Auditorium, adjusting their black caps and gowns.
It had been a lot of hard work, but the Mishawaka women said there was much fun mixed in with that dedication and they would miss their experiences from college.
They were just two of 645 who graduated from AU on Saturday afternoon at the Kardatzke Wellness Center.
