In a nation ravaged by poverty and disaster, Jaime Kuhnle, an Anderson University alumna and teacher in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, possesses a warm, helping heart that is obvious to all who come into contact with her. “My mission here is…to show God’s love to everyone I come in contact with,” said Kuhnle.
More than 570 students made the walk from Reardon Auditorium across Anderson University’s campus to the Kardatzke Wellness Center for commencement Saturday.
Six Anderson University seniors were recognized during honors chapel/convocation on April 19, 2011, for achieving a 4.0 cumulative GPA during their years at AU. Renee Bader, Elizabeth Barrow, Ambrosia Davidson, Keith Sayer, Joanna Tilley, and Samantha Toeller received awards for their outstanding academic achievement. Gabe Miller and Ellen Thompson were also recognized with the Outstanding Senior Athlete Award for their academic and athletic achievement, campus involvement, and leadership.
The Community Partnership Center at Anderson University held its second annual Celebration of Service Chapel this week. Three faculty members and 12 students were awarded for their service and volunteerism in Madison County.
Dr. Jan Fulkerson was recently appointed dean of the Anderson University School of Education for a two-year term, beginning this fall. She has served as the interim dean during the current academic year.
