Anderson University’s School of Music, Theatre, and Dance is gearing up to host world-class concert pianist Joseph Kalichstein. At 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov, 10, at 4:00 p.m, the school’s partnership with the Adams Foundation will come to fruition with a solo recital at York Performance Hall on the AU campus.

Gospel music legend Gloria Gaither had a much different plan for her life when she first got to Anderson University years ago.
"I wanted to be a missionary to Africa," she told AU's student body during a chapel service Tuesday, when she received the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance's outstanding music alumni award.
But more importantly, she said, she wanted to follow God's direction, which led her to gospel music instead of Africa.
Over the years, the demand for college-educated employees has gone up. At the same time, the cost of higher education has also risen. And in states such as Indiana, government grant assistance has decreased sharply and quickly, while student-loan debt creeps up with every college graduation. As families continue to struggle with the impact of the most recent recession, parents and incoming college students wonder if a liberal arts education is worth the cost of tuition.
