Anderson, Indiana – John P. Kane, CPA, CGMA, managing member of J.P. Kane & Co., LLC and 1984 Anderson University accounting alumnus, will be presented with the 2018 Indiana CPA Society (INCPAS) Distinguished Service Award.
The annual INCPAS Awards recognize CPAs with active licenses in good standing who have demonstrated excellence in serving the profession, company, community and public interest. The Distinguished Service Award was established in 1971 to recognize long-time exemplary service to the society and CPA profession as a whole. It is the society’s highest honor.
Award recipient Kane graduated from Anderson University in 1984 and he received his CPA certificate in 1989. After working at a local CPA firm for several years, Kane founded J.P. Kane & Co., LLC in 1997. He currently serves as Treasurer and Board of Trustee member for Community Hospital Anderson. He has previously served as Vice Chair of the Board Directors at the Indiana CPA Society, Chair of the Indiana Board of Accountancy, and Anderson Symphony Orchestra President.
“When I became a CPA more than 30 years ago, I never could have envisioned the countless experiences I have had and the knowledgeable people with whom I have crossed paths. I am very humbled and honored to be a CPA and to be part of such a vital society,” said Kane.
