I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from AU in 1998. I have taught in Alaska, California, and I earned my Masters in Educational Leadership at University of Redlands. For the past 7 years, I've been a principal in the Franklin Township school district (Indiana), and this year I opened the new Acton Elementary School. I chose Anderson University because I wanted a small school experience that allowed me to experience worldwide opportunities outside of small town, Indiana. While at AU, I took advantage of the Tri-S travel trips and did my student teaching in a bilingual school in Chicago. I met and married my husband, Ben Burke, while in Alaska, and we have two sons, Noah (2000) and Caleb (2002).
