frequently asked questions

What’s the difference between weekly meals and semester meals?

Raven Basic and Raven Value are weekly plans where unused meals will expire at the end of each week. These meal plans include a set number of meals per week rather than per semester. The meals unused at the end of the week will just not be used and the following week you will have a full set of meals again. Paired with 4 swipes per day, this is a way to help you budget your meals through the entire semester.

What is a meal exchange combo?

All meal plans include one meal exchange combo per day to use in the dining retail locations (outside of the Marketplace). You’ll be given options at the retail locations for how you can use your combo meals. Meal exchange combos will not be available at Mocha Joe’s.

What are Raven Dollars?

Raven Dollars work like a debit card and are included in all meal plans. They offer increased flexibility, are accepted at all on-campus dining locations and roll from fall to spring semester. You can add Raven Dollars at any time to any plan and in any amount with a minimum purchase of $50. Watch for special bonus Raven Dollar offers throughout the semester on our website and social media.

What are guest meals?

All meal plans now have guest meals for the Marketplace. These meals can be used any time during the semester to invite friends or family to eat with you, so you don’t have to worry about using your meal plan for a guest.

How do I select my meal plan?

You will select your preferred meal plan option during the housing application process.
