As classes resumed for another year at Anderson University, the School of Science and Engineering and School of Nursing and Kinesiology welcomed new faculty.

New hires fill School of Nursing

The Anderson University School of Nursing and Kinesiology welcomed three new faculty this fall. Sarah Cox is an assistant professor of nursing. Toya Lutterman is an instructor in the School of Nursing and Kinesiology. Kari Miller joins the faculty as an assistant professor of nursing and the simulation coordinator.

Kathy Harp leads small group for upperclassmen women

The group of upperclassmen women who participate in Kathy Harp’s small group take time out of their busy weeks to be in community together.

Many Anderson University students are involved in a spiritual formation group on campus to dive deeper into scripture. During the fall semester, alumna Kathy Harp has led a group of junior and senior women studying Margin by Richard Swenson. The book focuses on how to create space around yourself in a world that operates on overload.

Experienced television producer and writer joins communications faculty

For the past three years, Jack Lugar has served as an adjunct professor at Anderson University focusing on cinema studies and storytelling joining the full-time communication and design arts faculty this fall.

The Cultural Resource Center hosted a celebration of Native American culture featuring guest speaker Mike Pace on Oct. 18. Students and members of the AU community gathered in the lobby of Reardon Auditorium to listen to Pace’s lecture.

Anderson University's School of Education has a long and outstanding record of excellence within all of the programs they have to offer undergraduate students. In November, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) accredited AU's program for the next seven years without any stipulations for areas of improvement.

On Dec. 8, the curtain at Byrum Hall will rise on the Anderson University production of Deathtrap by Ira Levin.

The comedy-thriller holds the record for being the longest running Broadway show in its genre and was reprised in the form of a film in 1982.
