Fall Into Dance Set For November 3 and 4

Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University is set to host its annual Fall Into Dance program November 3 at 7:30 p.m. and November 4 at 2:30 p.m. Both shows will be held in Reardon Auditorium.

“Fall Into Dance is always an exciting moment at AU Dance,” said Christine Thacker, assistant professor of dance. “The creativity, rich textures, and depth of content that our student choreographers produce and present so beautifully onstage is always remarkable.”

Fall Into Dance consists of several independent pieces created by AU students. Produced by AU dance, but choreographed entirely by students, it is an important learning experience for students. Dance majors who meet certain academic requirements write and submit a choreographic proposal in the spring semester of the previous school year and upperclassmen dancers are chosen by student choreographers.

“All of the department works so hard to bring the best possible works to the stage, and it shows,” said Thacker. “This is always an extra labor of love, as the students are so closely connected to the works of their peers, and dedicate countless hours rehearsing and perfecting the pieces. AU dancers are truly talented choreographers, dancers, and artists.”

Tickets can be purchased online and are $15 for adults, $12 for military, and $7 for non-AU students. For more information call 765-641-4140 or email studentdance@anderson.edu.
