Here at Anderson University, College Mentors for Kids is a program that connects children in Madison County with leaders on campus. Children are paired one-on-one with a mentor and together they discover some of the activities that AU has to offer.
Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University is celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week by taking a look at the School of Education and how students and alumni are well prepared within it for the vocation of teaching. The origins of Teacher Appreciation Week date back to the 1940s, and in 1953, Eleanor Roosevelt lobbied Congress to set aside one day to recognize educators.
Anderson, Ind. — Anderson University students seek to fulfill the university’s core values each day, and many students fulfill the value of excellence as they earn awards and other commendations for their scholarly work and efforts, both in and out of the classroom.
The following students were recognized during the 2017-2018 school year, and the university congratulates them on their hard work:
Anderson, Ind. -- Anderson University recognized seniors Nancy Dalton, Regan Donnell, Lauren Vale, and Carrie VanderMolen for achieving a 4.0 cumulative GPA during their years at AU during honors chapel convocation on April 19.

Anderson, Ind. -- Anderson University will honor distinguished alumni and friends on campus when it celebrates its 100th Commencement on Saturday, May 5.

Anderson, Ind. -- Anderson University will host a wide variety of camps and pre-college experiences on campus for the 2018 summer season. These will include athletic camps for boys and girls from ages 3-18, as well as pre-college experiences in music, dance, design, STEM, and filmmaking for high school students. In 2017, AU camps brought over 600 students and their families to the city of Anderson.
Study Buddies is one of seven campus ministries at Anderson University, focusing primarily on tutoring and mentoring elementary school students. Study Buddies partners with South Meridian Church of God (South) and their Open Door tutoring program. Open Door is available to all children of the community in kindergarten through fifth grade.
“Come Home” to Anderson University this weekend for Homecoming 2017
We hope you will join us on the Anderson University campus Oct. 13-14 for our Homecoming 2017 celebration! As we conclude our Centennial year, the weekend will be filled with our traditional Homecoming events, as well as a few specific Centennial activities. Family Weekend will also take place during this special time on campus!
