Anderson University Mail Distribution Center was created to derive full benefits for Anderson University from the U.S. Postal Service rates and to centralize the distribution of both US mail and campus mail.
LOCATION & HOURS
The Mail Center is located on the lower floor of Decker Hall. ALL undergrad students, including commuter students, (except Advance Degree and adult education students) have a mailbox at this location. Advance degree and adult education students may request a mailbox if one is desired.
The package window hours are:
Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 9 a.m.-4p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday: 9-10:50 a.m. and Noon-4 p.m. (Closed for Chapel)
On days when classes are not in session, which include the summer and holidays, we are closed between noon and 1 p.m. for lunch.

PRINT, DESIGN & BULK MAIL
Effective June 1, 2014, departmental print jobs in need of design work by the Office of Communication and Marketing and/or bulk mailings will now be initiated by submitting an online form. The department contact will receive a response noting their request has been received and will be contacted by a member of our Mail Center and/or Marketing team, depending on the requested need. Mail may be sent via campus mail, US mail, or International mail from our location.
Postage stamps may be purchased at the cashier window during business hours. Stamps are available individually or in books of 20. We supply priority (2-3 day) envelopes and boxes, express (overnight) mail envelopes, and overnight and 2-day UPS envelopes. We also carry a small line of packaging supplies. Packages may be shipped via the United States Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS) or by FedEx.
FIRST CLASS MAIL
First Class mail is delivered once daily and distributed to campus mailboxes usually by 1 p.m. Proper addressing for your mail should be:

Please do not use the words 'PO box' or 'Box' in the address as this may delay delivery by the USPS. If you will be receiving mail under a nickname, please inform the mail center. Also, if you are getting married or changing your name for any reason, please inform the mail center as soon as possible.
Incoming packages are usually processed by noon each day. We receive packages from all carriers. Email will be sent to your Ravenmail account when packages are received, so please check your email prior to coming to the window. Please pick up your packages at the Mail Center package window as soon as possible during regular window hours. Bring your Anderson University ID.
The Mail Center can ship boxes and packages via the United States Postal Service (USPS), United Parcel Service (UPS), or by FedEx. USPS mail is picked up at 3:45 p.m. Please have packages securely taped, addressed (with return address), and given to the Mail Center by 3:15 p.m. UPS and FedEx have guaranteed two-day, three-day, and overnight services and Saturday delivery is available for an additional charge. UPS and FedEx can only be delivered to a street address, no P.O. boxes.
Campus mail cannot be smaller than 3" x 5" or larger than 8 ½" x 5 ½". Larger sheets must be folded. Bundles of 10 or more must be rubber banded in alphabetical order by last name (A-Z with A on top). If the bundle is too large to go through the mail slots, please place the banded bundle in the bulk mail chute under the cashier window. If you have a large amount or odd shaped pieces, please drop them off at the package window.
If you need a zip code you may look it up on the web at http://www.usps.gov.
The Mail Center houses the central lost and found department. Please turn in found items as soon as possible at the package window. Make sure you check here for lost items. If your lost items have not been turned in, please complete the lost item form. When the item is turned in, we will call you. These items are disposed of each summer, so make sure you check before you go home.
Many students must share a mailbox. Please be patient with your box partner, and take care with their mail. If you have a box partner who has not picked up their mail for several weeks, please notify the package window and we will check to see if they are still registered. Please do not dispose of any of your box partner's mail, as we check periodically and send an email for boxes that are full. If you receive newspapers or large magazines, please be kind to your box partner and pick these up each day.
If you are leaving the university please let us know where to forward your mail. Mail forwarding cards are available at the package window or you may email email@example.com. If you are graduating or not returning, we will forward your mail for six months. After that period, we will return mail to sender. We do not forward mail over breaks such as Christmas or Spring break.
Mail is forwarded during the summer unless you request that your mailbox remain open. These requests should be made by filling out a card at the Mail Center window or contact us by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
