T.E.A.M. (Teenage Mentoring and Encouragement)

Mentoring local high school students in a one-on-one setting at Park Place Community Center.

The Christian Center

Elijah Neal, Student Coordinator

Engage the impoverished and homeless community through serving/sharing a meal, playing board games/music, and building relationships with the men and women at the local homeless shelter.

Community Builders

David Bailey, Student Coordinator

Formerly Operation Foundation. Join together in monthly work projects ranging from raking yards to painting to weatherizing houses for the winter in order to love and connect with our neighbors in the Anderson community

Differently-Abled

Help lead a weekly Bible Study for youth and adults with special needs at Edgewater Residency.

 

 

Juvenile Justice

Mentor, challenge, and encourage at-risk youth involved in the Madison County court system through Project Hope, an after-school program sharing the hope of Jesus Christ and the potential for their future.

Prayer Ministry

Two opportunities:

  • Join with faculty, staff, and other students in Reardon Auditorium before Chapel to pray over campus, chapel services and guests.
  • Meet weekly with other students to pray for our community and campus, and learn more about prayer together.

Study Buddies

Emily Stultz, Student Coordinator

Join with the neighborhood ministry of South Meridian Church of God by tutoring elementary-age children, fellowshipping with their families over dinner, and teaching them about Jesus.

VisionRevision

Hope Brandenberger, Student Coordinator

Create a series of student-led chapels that incorporate art forms such as dance, film, and visual and dramatic arts.

Get Involved

AU showed me that service is our one major role in life. At Anderson, you cannot simply study a major in the hope for a successful life for yourself. Every major from day one is centered around the concept of service. Anderson showed me that service is a vital part of one’s life, faith, and identity.
