Spiritual Life Opportunities

Founded by the Church of God, Anderson University consistently seeks out opportunities for students to grow in their faith. AU is a place where you are embraced for whom you are and inspired to reach further to whom you’ll become.

AU opened my eyes through different chapel speakers, professors, mentors, an incredible campus pastor, and friends on the floor, to the beauty of having a living and moving relationship with the Lord as opposed to a one-way relationship. By learning how to seek the spirit and rest in the Lord’s presence, I have found new places inside of me being unlocked, slowly shaping me into a much more authentic version of myself.

Church Attendance

Participation in a local faith community is important for spiritual development. Students are encouraged to identify and become actively involved in a local church of their choice. A diverse spectrum of local churches provide opportunities for involvement.

Campus Ministries

Campus Ministries seeks to foster intentional Christian discipleship and spiritual growth in order to help students experience Christ as the living center of their life. This life of faithfulness involves communion with Christ, community with each other and ministry to the world.

Small Groups

Small groups provide opportunities for spiritual growth for upperclassmen. A variety of topics are covered and every small group will look a bit different, but will all focus on being a supportive community that is founded on prayer and the love of Jesus Christ.

Miller Chapel and The Prayer Room

Students are encouraged to find opportunities to use the Adam W. Miller Chapel in the School of Theology as well as the Prayer Room in the Morrison House for prayer, meditation, and reflection.

Spiritual Emphasis / Impact Your World Week

Spiritual Emphasis Week falls early in Semester I and focuses on inward transformation and renewal. Impact Your World Week comes early in Semester II and looks at the outward and global implications of our faith. God’s servants from around the world are invited to spend the week with us on campus, encouraging us toward both the inward and outward movements of our life with Christ.

10:07 Worship

A student lead ministry where students gather in Fair Commons Lobby every Tuesday evening at 10:07 for acoustic worship and prayer. All students are welcome to come and join this powerful and spirit led worship experience!
