Doug Seelbach is a professor of Kinesiology, head of the Exercise Science major and director of the Human Performance Lab. He returned to his alma mater in 2000 to create the major and equip the lab in the new Kardatzke Wellness Center after launching similar programs at the University of Oregon and Alma College in Michigan. In addition to exercise science he teaches nutrition and is responsible for the recently adopted nutrition minor. He is one of the leading campus advocates of instructional technology, which he uses extensively in his courses. He lives on a small farm where he grows his own beef, eggs, fruit, berries and vegetables when he is not hiking, backpacking, fishing, bicycling, climbing mountains and riding his motorcycle.
Seelbach joined the Department of Kinesiology in 2000.
