Jim Scott is a professor in the department of Kinesiology and Natatorium director (aka Dean of Aquatics). He holds a B.S. and M.S. degree from Eastern Kentucky University and an Ed. D from Ball State University in Muncie. He joined the Anderson University faculty in 1991. He has several certifications with the American Red Cross and is able to certify faculty, staff, and students in Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR, Water Safety Instruction to name a few. His courses include First Aid, Fit for Life, Lifeguarding, Beginning & Intermediate Swimming, Water Safety Instruction, Sport and Recreational Leadership Intro. a Sport and Recreation Leadership class, and Badminton. He oversees the day to day operation of the pool and supervises a staff of approx. 15 student lifeguards. In 2009 he was selected as faculty member of the year.
