I’ve always loved serving, but AU opened up so many new opportunities. Working in the Anderson community was something I would not have been able to do without having someone facilitate it for me. For that I am grateful. I’m proud to be an AU alum because the school not only helped me grow academically and professionally, but also emotionally and spiritually. I don’t think I would have had the opportunities to grow at a larger school. Knowing that my professors were, and still are, there for me whenever I needed it, makes me proud to be an alum.

As a singer-songwriter and a touring musician, I find myself just about every day either playing a show on the road or sitting at a piano writing a song and using the skills that I learned at Anderson University. The faculty and staff in the music department were awesome and they really just equipped me with the tools that I needed to get out there in the real world and start building a career for myself. I also found AU to be a really great community of believers where I could grow in my faith and learn about the love of God.

AU is known for its community, the relationships students form with others and the professors, and the education it offers to those across the world. I am a walking example that AU did its job on me. No university in the world can 100% prepare a student for the post-grad life but AU got really close. The university taught me it is alright to fall as long as you get up and keep going. And every day I keep going… and when I face adversity, I know I am well prepared because AU never gave up on me.
