Vision and Verse Gallery Exhibit

Anderson, Ind. — From Jan. 25 – Feb. 22 the Wilson Gallery and the Indiana Faith and Writing Conference are co-sponsoring an exhibit exploring and celebrating the expressive elements of both visual imagery and written word. The month-long exhibit will open on Jan. 25 with a gallery viewing from 6-7 p.m. and a lecture and reading by David Wright at 7 p.m. The full schedule can be found here.

The gallery will showcase artist books from a collaborative project from Boston University’s MFA program. This annual pairing of painters and poets produced handmade books in which the forms of poetry and are given equal expression and care.

An exhibit in the adjacent open gallery will celebrate the works form AU students. This will include their contributions to the Literary Arts Magazine.

The Jessie C. Wilson Galleries serve Anderson University and Ease Central Indiana with monthly exhibitions that feature the work of regionally and nationally recognized artists. Through these exhibitions, the gallery is dedicated to enriching and engaging AU students, as well as promoting the visual arts within the community.
