Student Life

Off-Campus Students

If you are intending to live off-campus, you must meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Have earned at least 88 credit hours before the beginning of Semester I
  • Are 22 years of age by May 31, 2018
  • Are married
  • Are part-time students (less than 12 hours per semester)
  • Are in their 4th year out of high school

Please know that off-campus students must submit housing information every year through the AU Housing website. This must be complete by the second week in September.

If you are intending to appeal the Housing Policy please contact the Department of Student Life (housing@anderson.edu) to receive the appeal packet. The appeal deadline is May 5, 2017.

As an off-campus student, we encourage you to stay connected to campus life. Various off campus specific opportunities are available during the year. Please check your emails, as this will be the primary form of communication.
As the Off Campus Resource Specialist, it is my hope to use my knowledge to help you! Please feel free to ask questions, check in, and share your thoughts with me!

For more information on campus activities and how you can get involved, please contact Leah Zachary.

Campus mailbox & E-mail
Every commuter and off-campus student has a campus mailbox and an e-mail account. You are expected to check both of these on a regular basis. They are the two main sources of campus communication.

Current Address Information
All commuter and off-campus students are required each year to complete and submit current housing information by the second week of September.  You can do this by logging into the housing website: housing.anderson.edu.

Lifestyle Expectations
Commuter and Off-Campus Students are expected to abide by all lifestyle expectations of Anderson University. Failure to do so could result in disciplinary action as outlined in the Judicial Code.
